What should you do if you need to change or cancel your car rental?

Do you have to cancel your trip due to current travel restrictions? Did you find out after booking a vehicle that you need to rent a larger car? In our article, you will explain to you how to proceed when canceling or changing your reservation.


Making reservation

Booking a vehicle through Rentalport is very simple and will take you less than five minutes. After choosing the pickup place and the rental dates in the search on our website, all you have to do is to select the right vehicle for you from our current offer. If you have found it, click on "book", then fill in the registration details and, if interested, order additional accessories. After paying for the reservation with a credit card, you will receive a confirmation of the reservation via e-mail.

Keep your reservation always handy!

You can check your reservation at any time in the "My reservations" section after logging in to your account on our website or the Rentalport mobile application. Here you can find the reservation number and status, the ID of your payment, as well as the contact details of the car rental company or information on the time and place of pickup/return of the vehicle.

How can you modify your reservation?

If you need to change or adjust your reservation, or you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact the car rental company from which you rented the vehicle. Its contact information can be found in your reservation. Of course, you can also contact our customer center, which is available to you every working day from 8:00 to 17:00. All contacts can be found in the "Support" section.

Our tip: If you want to make changes to your reservation more than 48 hours prior to the planned pickup of the vehicle, simply cancel your reservation and create a new one. You do not need to contact anyone and you can make a new reservation according to your needs.

Do you need to cancel your reservation?

Most reservations can be canceled without a cancellation fee up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup of the vehicle. You can do so simply by clicking on the trash can icon in the "My reservation" section. You will be shortly notified about the cancellation of your reservation via email. You can also cancel your reservation by phone or e-mail to our customer service center.

When will you get your money back?

In case of cancellation, you can request a refund in the "My Reservation" section or you can contact the car rental directly. In case of cancellation, we try to return the money to our customers as soon as possible, usually, it takes 5-10 working days.
