Rentalport is an online car rental search and reservation platform that searches for the best car rental offer based on the parameters you enter.
Why should I rent a car through Rentalport?
Because Rentalport platform offers you many different car categories on one booking site. You can always choose the ideal car for the city, the mountains, or just for fun!
Does Rentalport owns vehicles?
Rentalport does not own vehicles. Vehicles offered through our rental platform belong to our business partners.
Who are your business partners?
Our business partners are car rental companies, which have the ambition to grow and attract more customers. Car rental companies which start their business are our business partners as well. We are also working with car rental companies, which have low car rental bookings especially in the winter months and need to increase their sales.
Are vehicles insured?
Yes, all vehicles offered through the platform are insured. Extent of insurance coverage is adjusted individually by the rental companies. Therefore, we recommend that you always inquire about the insurance coverage at your car rental company before pick up.
How do I rent a vehicle through Rentalport?
1. Enter the date and place of vehicle pickup and return in the search engine 2. Choose the car rental offer that suits you best 3. Pay online in advance 4. You will receive a booking confirmation via e-mail and into your account (valid for registered customers) 5. Pick up the car and car keys at the car rental company listed on the booking confirmation
What are the conditions for renting a car?
To rent a vehicle through Rentalport, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving license. The rental terms and conditions are available to you at each car rental offer. Car rental terms and conditions are regulated individually by each car rental company, so please contact the car rental company if you have any questions.
What are my responsibilities when making a reservation on the Rentalport platform?
1. The Customer shall provide the correct personal data and information required by the Platform 2. The Customer is obliged to pay the reservation in full and in advance 3. The Customer is obliged to familiarize with the General Terms and Conditions of the car rental company providing the vehicle for hire 4. The customer is obliged to pay the rental in full if he / she does not announce the cancellation within 48 hours prior to the rental
What are my responsibilities when taking over a vehicle?
1. The customer is obliged to familiarize with the General Terms and Conditions of the car rental company providing the vehicle for hire before pick up. Your car rental company is listed on your Confirmation of reservation 2. The customer is obliged to follow the instructions on the booking confirmation 3. The customer is obliged to arrive to pick up and drop off on time, otherwise he may be charged additional fees 4. The customer is obliged to present his driving license and other identification document as required by the car rental company to verify the identity and the ability to drive the vehicle. 5. The customer is obliged to thoroughly inspect the vehicle before renting and duly report any damage found before the car rental begins. 6. The customer is obliged to deposit when taking over the vehicle.
What are the requirements for a driving license?
Have your driver's license ready for pick up. The lead driver should have a driving license which is valid at least two years to avoid the younger driver fee. The terms of the Younger driver fee and regulated by car rental, therefore, we recommend to confirm in advance at the car rental. Temporary driving licenses are not accepted. You can find more information about driving license on your Booking confirmation or directly at the car rental company.
Who is the Additional driver and what does the Additional driver need for pick up?
Additional driver is a person who is authorized to drive the vehicle in addition to the main driver. To add someone as an additional driver, that person must be present at pick up. An additional driver must be presented with a driving license which must be at least two years old, otherwise car rental may charge Younger driver fee. All rules apply equally to the Main driver and Additional driver.
Where can I find the Rental conditions of my reservation?
Rental Conditions appear when making a reservation. Without confirmation of the Rental Terms and Terms and Conditions of Rentalport.com, a.s. it is not possible to make a reservation. Rental term are also avaliable on the car rental website listed on the Booking Confirmation.
Where I can find the information about damage excess?
The amount of damage excess varies depending on the car rental company, vehicle category, rental length or location. Its amount is determined individually by car rental companies. Some car rental companies offer a variety of additional insurance that you can purchase directly through our website. The damage excess coverage is given at each additional insurance. You can also find the damage excess amount on the car rental company website, or in the car rental Terms and conditions. We recommend that you contact a car rental company for further information regarding damage excess.
What are my responsibilities when renting a car?

Who do I pay as a Customer?
The customer pays for the online booking in advance through the implemented payment solutions on our website. The customer will receive a payment confirmation. After processing the customer's funds through the payment gateway, the payment gateway will send these funds to the car rental account specified on the Booking Confirmation. The customer receives a Booking Confirmation from Rentalport. Customer receives a rental invoice from the car rental company at the start or end of the rental.
Why was my payment declined?
There is probably a problem with your credit card provider. The problem may also be the payment card itself, which could be expired. You can try making a payment again using a different card. If payment is still not possible please contact your payment card provider to make sure everything is OK.
Can I drive in another country?
In most cases, you can use the vehicle without problems in any EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. However, we recommend that you ask your car rental company first whether additional charges apply for using the vehicle abroad.
How do I know if a vehicle is available?
Enter the date and time you want to rent a car into Rentalport's search engine and the system will generate only available vehicles.
For how long can I rent a car?
You can rent a car for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 12 months.
Can I cancel a reservation?
You can cancel your reservation for free up to 48 hours before pick up. Refund is not possible less than 48 hours before pick up.
What is the process of pick up the vehicle?
1. The Customer is obliged to pick up at the time and place indicated on the Booking Confirmation. 2. The car rental company will verify the Customer's identity and ability to drive. 3. The car rental company will issue a proof of lease to the Customer (Rental Agreement, Lease Certificate, Lease Agreement or other ...) 4. Car rental company and the Customer will check the condition of the car, the condition of the tank and the condition of the speedometer. 5. The customer is obliged to thoroughly inspect the vehicle before renting and duly report any damage found before the car rental begins. 6. The car rental company and the customer sign the handover report. 7. The car rental company then informs the Customer about the vehicle and hands over the car papers and keys to the Customer.
What do I need for pick up?

Does car rental company take deposit?
In most cases, yes. When picking up the vehicle, staff will ask you to make a deposit in case of damage or theft of the car during the rental. The amount of the deposit will be temporarily blocked on the credit card / debit card of the Main driver during the whole rental period or the deposit will be deposited in cash directly at the location. If you return the car at the end of the rental without damage, the money will be unblocked within a few days. If there is not enough funds available on the driver's card for the advance deposit payment, the car rental company does not have to issue a car to the Customer in this case.
What payment card do you accept for depositing?
Each car rental company accepts different types of payment cards. The customer is obliged to inquire in advance about the type of payment card at the car rental company specified in the Booking confirmation.
What should I do if my rental car breaks down?
Please contact the car rental company listed in your Booking Confirmation and assistance service to provide you immediate service across the EU. Contact Rentalport if service lasts longer than 4 hours and we will help to arrange a vehicle for you. The car rental company will check the car after drop off and charge you for any damage from the deposit if necessary. The car rental company retains part or all of the deposit as needed. There may also be a situation where the credit card is charged for the damage. For details of the damage excess amount (the maximum amount you can be charged for certain types of damage), please refer to the car rental terms and conditions.
The car is abroad and an insured event (breakdown, accident) occurred. What should I do?
Always call the police. If the vehicle is immobile, call the assistance service, which will ensure towing of the immobile vehicle, overnight accommodation and more. In an case do not forget complete the accident report with the other party involved. Sign the accident report if you understand it and agree to it only. Otherwise, include your statement on the accident report in your native language. Make a note of the names, registration numbers of motor vehicles and other identification data of the participants in the traffic accident, as well as information about insurance company of other party involved.
What should I do if I get a fine?
If possible, we recommend paying the fines on the spot. In some cases (especially in cases of foreign fines), the fine may be delivered to the car rental company after drop off. In this case, the car rental company will contact the driver to pay the fine.
My rental car was stolen, what should I do?
First, contact the police and report the theft. Then contact the car rental company to which the car belongs.
Can I travel unlimited kilometers without charge?
The mileage limit is set individually by each car rental company. When making a reservation, the rental price indicates whether kilometers are unlimited or there is a limit on the kilometer.
How much fuel will be in the vehicle at pick up? Should the tank be filled at the time of drop off?
The rented car must be drop off with the tank you pick the vehicle up. Otherwise, your car rental company may charge you for refueling. Most car rental companies have a full-to-full fuel policy or otherwise a full tank policy, ie pick up and drop off with a full tank.
What happens if I drop off a vehicle with less fuel than when I picked it up?
The rental car will be refueled and the customer will be charged the price for petrol * coefficient deducted from the deposit. At the same time, the Customer may be charged Empty tank fee according to the car rental price list.
What happens if I return dirty vehicle?
Car rental is entitled to compensation according to their current price list. This amount may be withdrawn from the deposit.
Can I extend my rent?
If the car is available, the rental extension is possible. Check availability using the search engine on Rentalport website. If your car rental is free, it will appear in the search and you just create a new prepaid reservation. You should also contact the car rental comany after making a reservation explaining that this is a prolongation. The car rental company will keep or replace the vehicle for you.
Can I smoke in the rental vehicle?
Smoking in the vehicle is forbidden. Detected smoking in a vehicle may be fined.
What if a car rental cancel a reservation?
If, for objective reasons, it is not possible to process the reservation, the full amount will be refunded. The refund is made by the car rental company listed on the Booking Confirmation. If the amount paid is not refunded within 14 days, contact car rental and Rentalport. Rentalport will be happy to arrange a replacement rental with another car rental company. You can create a new reservation or contact us by phone or email.
Who pays fines?
Fines are paid by the driver who drove the vehicle at the time of the fine. If possible, we recommend paying the fine on the spot. Car rental requires the driver to be involved. The fine may also be withdrawn from the deposit and additional charges may apply.
What should I do in the event of an accident or breakdown on a vehicle?
Please contact the car rental company listed on your Booking confirmation and the assistance service that can provide immediate service throughout the EU. Contact Rentalport if service lasts longer than 4 hours and we will help you to arrange a replacement rental car.
Who determines the rental price?
Rental rates for different vehicle categories are determined by car rental companies.
What is the drop off process like?
1.) The customer is obliged to return the vehicle at the time and place indicated on the Booking confirmation. 2.) The customer hands over the keys and documents from the vehicle. 3.) Car rental together with the Customer check the condition of the vehicle, the condition of the tank and the condition of the speedometer. 4.) The car rental company and the customer check and sign the handover report. 5.) The car rental company will issue an invoice for the car rental to the Customer. 6.) The customer will be returned the deposit (on the spot if it was deposited in cash or within a few days if it was withheld on the payment card) 7.) The customer is invited to rate the rental
Can I drop off a vehicle at a location other than where I picked the vehicle up?
Yes, if the car rental allows it. You can book a pick-up in one place and drop off in another. However, this service is charged according to the car rental price list. If you want to change the place of pick up of your vehicle while renting, please contact the car rental company listed on the Bbooking confirmation.
Do I have to pay a toll?
Yes. If you use the toll road, you are responsible for the costs as if you were driving your own car.
Where do I get the vehicle keys?
The car keys will be provided to you by the car rental company listed on the Booking Confirmation at the time and place indicated on the Booking Confirmation.
